boo hoo hoo

True to form, I am not really in a "halloween" frame of mind. Soooo this is my costume. Get it? I'm Salvador Dali.

running rugged

this is my "urban world traveller" look. Tights for colder climes? check. Hiking/motorcycling boots? check. safari jacket? check. Other important features of this outfit include: ski socks, jewelry for bartering, belt for tourniquet.

delish

wishful wearing

okay so here is a look from the mcqueen job, obviously I don't own this dress (it costs seven thousand dollars) but I felt that it fit loosely under the "what i wore" catagory.

call me carmen

another rainy day...this time, i went the carmen sandiego route. please ignore the intensely yellow walls and dirty mirror.

ready for action

i really like my new pants
you can't see them very well here
i have come to the conclusion that this angle is unflattering to my outfits :(

rainy day woman # 1

prom dress + free pants + ll bean jacket = perrrfection. Marred only by the fact that i think my mirror is quite dirty.

and finally

sorry this is turning into a mega post situation...this what i actually am wearing today.

lame or lam-eh?

More new stuff...i honestly have no clue when/why i would wear this, but felt that the matter was beyond my control. the tank top is also new..max mara knit thing that would look slutty on someone with tits

going native

here is what my headdress really looks like! what do you think should i incorporate it into my every-day wardrobe, or is it more of a special occasion type of thing?

more new things

New purchase! this picture doesn't do it justice, but my silk scarf is super nice. Its suggestive of animal print, but isn't. Artemis and I bought it together, without you.

pantone please

Another hot day, plus: rain! perfect--hello wet parrot!

chilly

again, this is an unflattering picture... the dress was several inches above the knee and non-droopy! paired with the oversized barbour and andover scarf, i must say my proportions were quite nice.

lazy days

I am so tired of this unseasonably pleasant weather! It is too hot...so I'm just wearing this. Not very exciting, sorry.

My name is red

What a comfortable outfit! Loose washed silk close to the skin, sloppy red sweater keeping me warm. You kind of miss on the details, but trust the dress has loosely gathered pleates at the neck, and buttons, plus rivets on the belt. Inspired by your cartoon rich lady...IT'S HAPPENING

layer cake

i was inspired by your slipdress action.... the blog is working!

the classy clash

So here is my outfit for monday...it is less shapeless and more attractive than it appears. Also, I am wearing black tights with barely visible verticle stripes. Thus, the absurd title of this post.

the horizontal stripe blues

hoping for some lecherous lecture action

TGIF

This is one of the nicest outfits I own...I felt like charlotte gainsbourg in it. It's impossible to convey how pretty it is, but I showed a closeup of the drapey-ness.

back in sack

yet again, i'm really sad that the textures don't show up here... because now i just look like a .. a... lump of coal.

the long cardigan is from gap europe, which is basically as good as APC.

catching up

i love you primark, oh yes i do

i lost my iron(y)

this is about as chic as i can get after last night. ok, the last 9 nights.

"Urban Equestrian"

Don't worry, the title is meant to be ironic. Please disregard the awkward pose, I was in a rush. Sadly, you are missing one of the best parts of the outfit, which is where I piled all of my gold chain bracelets onto my right wrist. "The perfect outfit for castings, seeing Alice Waters, or running into Alex Wolfe."

good thing i skipped the beret

i wish i were better at this self photography thing. i know we hate scott schuman now, or are at least a bit weary of him, but i want to be able to display the wonderful textures of my outfits! it isn't working! the way i make myself feel ok about this is that i know you know my wardrobe well enough to understand the harmonious juxtapositions of natural fibers around which my outfits inevitably revolve. also light reflectiveness.

we're allowed to post purchases, right?

on my way to the farmer's market, i bought this red vest for 20 dollars! then i spent 20 more dollars on tomatoes, peppers, and red onions (no really).

old faithful

this is probably my most designer-y outfit ever...

weekend worrier

I was in a terrible mood this weekend. I did wear one nice outfit, though.

Skirt Brigade

The Indian Summer has persisted, so I'm still stuck wearing fall-ish warm weather ensembles. Innovation and hard work.

Newsflash!

It was actually warmer than anticipated, so I changed to this. I know, not as cool, but I still got my street style snapped! M:3, world:0

fille de joie

Another day, another outfit. Thigh highs are proving challenging, but I will persevere. My mantra: what would pazzy think??
